Decision Time has added another major housing association in Wales to our growing list of customers in the sector.

Wales & West Housing is the latest housing association to choose Decision Time, bringing the number of Welsh housing association customers that we have to 15, and the number across the UK and Ireland to over 75.

Wales & West Housing manages more than 12,000 high quality, affordable homes in 15 local authority areas across Wales. This includes more than 3,000 dedicated properties for older people, as well as supported housing solutions for people with a range of particular needs.

Decision Time’s other housing association customers in Wales include Grŵp Cynefin, Hafod, Taff Housing Association, and North Wales Housing Association. Community Housing Cymru, the membership body for housing associations in Wales, also uses our software.

Our association customers elsewhere in the UK include Karbon Homes, Metropolitan Thames Valley Homes and Link Group.

Geoff Higgins, CEO of Decision Time, says: “Following an extensive pilot, Wales & West Housing has chosen Decision Time as its portal to manage board and committee meetings throughout the organisation. This means that Decision Time has now been implemented by 15 housing associations in Wales. I believe this demonstrates a strong commitment by the Welsh Housing Sector to streamline and consolidate all aspects of their corporate governance requirements. A move which will enable management teams and the organisations to be more resilient and deliver a better service.”

“Housing associations are responsible for providing accommodation and a high standard of service for thousands of tenants, meaning effective corporate governance is absolutely critical, given the potential for the wrong decisions to have far-reaching implications on the organisation and those living in social accommodation,” he adds.

Claire McDougall, Governance Manager, Wales & West Housing says: “It was important for us that both administrators and attendees were onboard with the new software prior to purchasing. Decision Time delivered training as part of the pilot for both groups of people and the feedback was excellent, with all parties describing it as very intuitive to use. Good governance is extremely important to Wales & West Housing, and working with Decision Time is part of our commitment to further strengthening our governance, helping to improve performance across the organisation.”
