Melin Homes strengthens governance with move to Decision Time

Melin Homes, which owns and manages over 4,000 homes in south east Wales, has strengthened its governance by implementing Decision Time’s solutions to manage meetings, risks and objectives.

It is the latest housing association to use our software and says that it has improved performance across its organisation as a result.

Operating in Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Newport and Powys, Melin prides itself on being both a resilient landlord and an excellent employer within their local area.

The landmark contract brings to 80 the number of housing associations in the UK and Ireland using our products, and represents our 275th customer overall.

Decision Time’s other housing association customers include Karbon Homes in England, Link Group in Scotland and North Wales Housing Association. Community Housing Cymru, the membership body for housing associations in Wales, also uses our software.

Tom Broadhead, Director of Business Improvement at Melin Homes says: “Decision Time is an easy-to-use platform that has no doubt helped us strengthen our governance, assisting us to improve performance right across the organisation. We take our responsibilities very seriously in providing accommodation and a high standard of service for thousands of tenants. Effective corporate governance is absolutely critical for us to deliver our mission to support those living in social accommodation.”

Geoff Higgins, CEO of Decision Time, says: “Melin Homes is one of the premier housing associations in Wales and it has chosen to manage meetings, risks and strategic objectives through our secure, all-in-one, easy-to-use platform. Our solution allows Melin Homes to practice good governance and transform strategic objectives into positive action, with no need for separate board portals, risk registers, or objective management software."

"This demonstrates a strong commitment to streamline and consolidate all aspects of the association’s corporate governance requirements, a move which will enable the management team and the association to be more resilient and deliver a better service,” he continues.
