Decision Time Appoints Simon Community NI as Christmas Charity for 2022

Simon Community NI is Northern Ireland’s leading homeless charity. It provides specialist support services in Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland with the primary aim of preventing and ending homelessness. It offers all-year-round emergency and permanent accommodation, as well as delivering vital support services for young people, families and those with mental health and/or addiction issues.

Last year, the charity supported over 1,100 people and expects demand for its services to grow as official predictions indicate a rise in homelessness by 22% in the next three years.

The charity is committed to providing non-judgemental support to some of the most vulnerable individuals in our society. To do so, it much ensures that the organisation is well governed.

This is where we believe can help make a difference and support the charity on the way to making its vision a reality.

We strive to do whatever we can, wherever we can, to make positive contributions to the lives of our employees, our customers, and our community – and so we’re proud to appoint Simon Community NI as our Christmas Charity for 2022.

Streamlined governance can support charities to focus on what they do best, so throughout 2023 we’re really pleased to offer Simon Community NI free access to Decision Time  Meetings.

Geoff Higgins, Managing Director of Decision Time, said: “We’re very conscious of our role in the local community and recognise what can be achieved when businesses lend their support, resources, and expertise to support worthy causes. It’s our hope that this charity partnership with Simon Community NI can help the organisation to win back time and remain focused delivering its essential front-line services.”
