Dundee-based Hillcrest Homes strengthens governance with investment in new platform

Hillcrest Homes, one of the largest developers of new affordable homes in Scotland, has strengthened its governance by implementing the Decision Time platform for managing meetings, risks and objectives.

Established in 1967, Hillcrest provides over 6,500 homes in the Dundee, Edinburgh, Angus, Perthshire, Fife and Aberdeen areas.

It is the latest housing association in Scotland to implement the Decision Time platform, joining 20 others in the local market and more than 80 throughout the UK and Ireland.

Other housing association customers in the UK include Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, LiveWest, Karbon Homes, Wales & West Housing and Link Group.

Decision Time makes it easier for organisations to practice good governance by running effective meetings, managing risk and monitoring strategic performance. It enables CEOs, directors and leaders across any organisation to manage all of these essential requirements in one place.

Decision Time sales executive David Corry says: “Hillcrest Homes is responsible for the management and provision of thousands of affordable homes. Effective corporate governance is critical to maintaining a high-quality service that delivers for tenants and keeps those in social accommodation at the centre of the decision-making process.”

He adds: “By implementing the Decision Time platform, Hillcrest Homes is now equipped with an accessible and cost-effective solution for the efficient management of its meetings, risks and objectives, enabling it to consistently monitor and improve performance.”

Angela Linton, Chief Executive at Hillcrest Homes says: “As the contract with our current software provider was coming to an end, we sought to identify a platform that was secure, user-friendly and, most importantly, consolidated all of the governance tools essential to the Hillcrest Homes governing body and senior management team into one place.

“Very early on in our pilot of the platform we were impressed by Decision Time as its focus on risk management and goal setting would enable us to improve performance across the business. We were also impressed by the company as a service provider. It was evidently committed to each individual customer in the way it engaged with us, by listening to our specific needs and adapting its offering to our requirements.”
